CIS Equivalent Standard Achievers
Kailey Smith (U of Saskatchewan) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Womens 800m with a time of 2:10.67 at the Husky Classic on Feb. 13th, 2010. With a correction factor of .37 added, the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Kailey in the 600m at the 2010 CIS Championships.

Sharai Siemens ( U of Saskatchewan) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Womens 400m with a time of 55.55 at the Husky Classic on Feb. 13th, 2010. With a correction factor of .17 added, the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Sharai in the 600m at the 2010 CIS Championships.

Jess Vanhie (U of Guelph) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Women’s Mile with a time of 4:53.15 at the Meyo Invitational on February 6th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.87 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Jess for the 1500m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championship.

Rachel Aubry (U of Guelph) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Women’s 800 with a time of 2:09.49 at the Meyo Invitational on February 6th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.42 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Rachel for the 600m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championship.

Dustin Gamble (U of Guelph) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Men’s 800 with a time of 1:49.71 at the Meyo Invitational on February 6th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.78 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Dustin for the 1000m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championship.

Melissa Bishop (U of Windsor) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Women’s 800 with a time of 2:05.88 at the Meyo Invitational on February 6th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.42 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Melissa for the 1000m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championship.

Raeleen Hunter (U of Windsor) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Women’s 800 with a time of 2:08.79 at the Meyo Invitational on February 6th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.42 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Raeleen for the 1000m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championship.

Daniel Mallie (University of Victoria) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Men’s Mile with a time of 4:08.87 at the University of Washington Indoor Preview on January 16th, 2010. With the correction factor of 1.43 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Daniel for the 1500m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championships

Darren Mazzei (University of Victoria) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Men’s 800m with a time of 1:50.80 at the University of Washington Indoor Meet on January 29th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.69 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Darren for the 1000m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championships

Julia Tschanz (University of Victoria) has achieved the equivalent standard in the Women’s Mile with a time of 4:47.55 at the University of Washington Indoor Meet on January 29th, 2010. With the correction factor of 0.43 added the time is still below the equivalent standard. This has qualified Julia for the 1500m at the 2010 CIS Track & Field Championships

SUCCESS FOR GAELS AT McGILL LAST CHANCE

Feb 20, 2010: In what has to be one of the best ever Last Chance Meets for the Gaels almost all of the pre-meet goals were accomplished. Priority was to improve the men’s 4x4 time, get faster 300m, 600m, 1000m, and 1500m performances going into the OUA Championships.

Feb 06, 2010: Mallie, Jean, Robertson, Childs posts wins in Winnipeg. Dan Mallie won the 1000m in 2:26 to lead Victoria to four wins at Bison. Claire Jean (4:34) won the women's 1500m, rookie Karl Roberson (3:55) won the 1500m and Cliff Childs (8:34) won the 3000m.
